More Web 2.0 and more social than LibraryThing, Shelfari is another book logging site. Not quite as portable as LibraryThing's mobile view, but worth a poke.

You'll find me under my usual username on both sites.

[thanks to [livejournal.com profile] thunderbox for the tip]

I've just set up a LibraryThing account, and thrown it my current (albeit partial) catalogue from Readerware.

Scarily, the number of books in the export (which is the catalogue of one and a bit rooms) will put me just outside the top 100 libraries. I haven't even started on the lounge yet, which as anyone who's visited knows, has tall Victorian ceilings and bookcases constructed by [livejournal.com profile] marypcb, [livejournal.com profile] tanais and myself that reach pretty much to the ceiling on most of its walls. However, that is an exercise that will require significant heavy lifting and barcode scanning.

Now to wait while the site churns through 1447 ISBNs.
