...and so into the fire that is the Geekometer.
And of course, I scored just what you'd expect... (Click to see the official certificate)

"Solid, if unimaginative scoring. You probably know enough about computers to get by, though I bet you have to bluff a bit when it comes to talking to your kids/IT department. Pay a bit more attention when others are trying to help you and you might not be such a drain on everyone's time."

You are 72% geek
You're on a particularly useless cusp known as "being a bit of a nerd". Nobody really trusts what you say about computers, but at the same time, they keep asking you really annoying questions that they could answer for themselves if they just spent five minutes thinking about it. You also have to spend a lot of time not having a life in order to keep your slightly inadequate skills up to date. You have a choice: work harder and learn more, or give up and start to enjoy life.
Words fail me to describe how hideously, painfully accurate this is.

What we like even more is your posting, followed by Mary's. Splendid.
Not so impressed by my own miserable score of 66%... Pah!

I love you guys! :¬)
Stuck at 59%
first I was 52%
second 59%
last 59%
Each time I got this as their response:
Is there any better place to be than just above half way? Yes, there is, Mr. Tediously Average! There's nothing so dull as middle-of-the-road mediocrity, and that's you, all right. You've either spent an unhealthy amount of time forcing your inadequate intellect to understand the little you know, or you've settled for knowing the minimum you could get away with, you lazy git.
