From a review of a Pogues gig in The Independent:
"When the dust settles after the Third World War, the population of Earth will read as follows: Keith Richards, cockroaches, Shane MacGowan."
Now that's what I call a great intro.

I seem to remember Bill Hicks doing a line about Keef and bugs being the only thing to survive nuclear war. Maybe that's what this intro is riffing on.

"Where'd everyone go? I saw a light, thought we were on."

I heard they found a special kind of portrait in Cliff Richard's attic.

It'a a picture of Keith Richards.

(Thanks, I'll be here all week.)

Yeah that riffs of Bill Hicks, but Robin Williams turned it around the other week...
Jack Nicholson, the only man on earth who when he says 'Let's Party' Keith Richards says 'Nah man I gotta go home.'
