I was intrigued to watch a set of tilt-shift stop motion videos, where the real world is made to look like a scale model.

I don't have a tilt-shift lens for my camera, so I decided to have a go at the relatively simple Photoshop process required to fake the images. Most of my experiments failed - I have a tendency to take shots looking up (and you really need to be looking down to get the most model-like effect) , or to use a lot of zoom for close-up shots (so have very little depth of field anyway).

This one, however, worked quite well.
