Well, tonight's the night, and Mac OS X 10.2 is shipping. It's going to be a fairly major upgrade for the Mac, and it's going to be a welcome upgrade for this iBook. I've taken the opportunity to find an appropriate hard drive icon and get it installed...

Well on a trip down TCR today I reserved my Jaguar at Procom Electronics for pickup tomorrow morning..

out of interest, how do you change the HD icon in OSX 10.1.5, or do I have to wait for OSX 10.2 (buying it today, but probably not installed today)?

Exactly the same way as you would do it from OS 9 - you just need to be logged on as root to do it. I found a lovely set of faux-fur and leather icons from the Apple web site...

well, i did not know how to do it in os9, either, but i have worked it out for my self, now...
