*Yes, you can have interesting days in Bracknell, especially when it's spent learning more about the strategy of a technology company you've been tracking for almost as long as you've been an IT writer...

I went to Bracknell once. To meet my inamorato and take him out for a meal. To our collective annoyance, we found that Bracknell was closed - so we had to seek solace in the [admittedly sparse] anonymous comfort of Reading.

Went on an ICL IDMSX course in Bracknell best part of 20 years ago.
Venue nice. Town pants.
