Cute and yet disturbing. They look kind of like miniature Dios De Los Muertos figurines....

It's an interesting comparison.
The Kodama are one of the saddest things in Mononoke Hime, as they slowly fade away as the trees fall, and the humans move into the forest.
One of my favourite films.
