Good news for Tube users (shock horror!)

Fare capping on Oystercard pre-pay will come in at the end of the month!
From 27 February capping on pre-pay cards will be introduced allowing passengers to pay the lowest daily fare once every journey has been assessed. The cap will apply at the appropriate one-day Travelcard or Bus Pass rate.

They've been wanting to do that from day one, but all the software guys knew it Very Hard. I hope it works now that it's official *touch*wood*

That's good, as previously you had to work out (perhaps not very accurately) whether you were going to make a sufficient number of trips to need a One Day Travelcard instead. Something like a London Pubs Group pub crawl (not that I'm doing them any more) would definitely need a Travelcard.
