New Worlds closing down sale update

The sale at New Worlds has now reached relatively recent stocks of hardbacks - selling off at £2.99 each. Some quite good stuff there, too - I managed to get a couple of rather nice NESFA press collections tonight that I'd been looking for for a while now...

Yikes; I'd missed that completely. When's the final day, do you know?

Eeep! Ditto.

(damn - now how can I get up to London before the sale ends?)

I was over there today and I'm pretty sure that the really cheap stuff (the £2.99 hardbacks) is actually the Cold Tonnage stock which was mostly second-hand and remainder in the first place. The regular M1 stock still seems to be selling at 10% off (or 20% if you spend more than £50) which isn't as good as it sounds if you're talking about US imports given M1's tendency to convert prices at pretty much $1 = £1...

the stuff Simon is referring to is the 'sale table' which has seeemd to be a mix of fine in DJ secondhand and Stuff That's Been In Boxes For A Long Time and increasingly A Bit of Newer Stock To Shift It. The Cold Tonnage secondhand is now £1 paperback £2 hardback (but this seems to change every time we go in!).
