... I did a quiz, and boy, they don't know me at all. Unless it's my consultancy soft skills at work mitigating things...

You are 38% geek
You are a geek liason, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.

Normal: Tell our geek we need him to work this weekend.

You [to Geek]: We need more than that, Scotty. You'll have to stay until you can squeeze more outta them engines!

Geek [to You]: I'm givin' her all she's got, Captain, but we need more dilithium crystals!

You [to Normal]: He wants to know if he gets overtime.

Right. Back to seeing if I can tune this beast to do mail and files a little faster. At least I seem to have killed the main errors in the log file...
Mood:: 'amused' amused

I only scored 56%. What on earth can they be thinking of?

(I suspect it's down to the choice of albums.)

That was my guess, too... that and some of the more, err, US-centric entries. Why the fsck would I want an SUV when I can have a small black coupe?

39% here - and I have a sports car and an SUV.

No, you have an instantation of the one true 4x4. Landies are not SUVs. SUVs are BMWs and Mercedes and the like...

Given there's 80 points for that section, and no way of saying you've got MP3s instead of CD... probably.

ah - as I counted MPs that might be why I'm 64% and speaker to geeks

And LPs, don't forget them ... at least, I didn't.
But still, 52%?? How did I get 52%?

I got the same analysis with a satisfying 29%

This quiz is defective. How can it possibly think I'm even 1% more geek than you are?

I'm scared now.

OK, weird. I beat you too. I got 42% (see my lj). I can only assume that it is referring to the John Katz definition of geek (and that of american school children, were Katz got hs definition) which I fit *very* well - an outsider, misfit and loner... ;-)

i.e. a geek/nerd as opposed to a technogeek...
