A very enjoyable book, playing to di Filippo's strengths.

PS Publishing have produced some gems with this series of novellas, including strong stories from Stephen Baxter, Graham Joyce, Ken MacLeod, Paul McAuley, Ian McDonald, Kim Newman, Alastair Reynolds, Michael Marshall Smith -- and others, which I haven't read.

Because I am very impatient I can't usually wait for the collections of four, and end up buying individually in paperback -- or, in the case of Alastair Reynolds, in hardback -- the ones I want to read. Fortunately I've been able to pick up at least some of them cheap.
