I have just put a fan in my PC's hard disk enclosure.

However I seem to have bought one with a blue LED in it, so the front grille is now glowing like Cherenkov radiation in a nuclear waste pool...


This is a picture of a real nuclear reactor, not my PC

The Tb Lacie drive also has a gratuitous blue led on the front...

I see no reason why you shouldn't. The 1Tb drives are a pretty good price at the moment (the 1.6Tb versions are comparatively overpriced, though).
