Dinner last night was on the 106th level of the Stratosphere Tower, with a wonderful view of the city laid out around us. The restaurant gently rotated, while an endless stream of helicopters flew below us. The food was good, the company better, and the desserts were chocolate.

After dinner we negotiated the stairs to make the final ascent to the 109th floor. The edges of the open air observation platform weren't really relished by those of us who don't enjoy heights.
However, when I realised there was a roller coaster above my head I started wondering about the sanity of the people riding the spiralling ride... Is there a rating higher than "white knuckle"?
