...because I sit up late watching political pundits on TV and eating junk food and end up feeling completely blah the next morning... Tonight I will make myself a salad. I will go buy fresh ingredients from the Selfridges Food Hall. I will eat at a sensible time and get a good night's sleep.

Or at least that's the 10 am resolution...

or you could jump in a car/on a train and come visit. The place is a mess (so duh!) but there's dvds to watch, music to listen to, takeaway food to eat and a local cinema ...

... just a thought!

Most people might regard staying up late watching TV and eating and drinking whatever you want as the advantages of being (temporarily) on your own. Though I usually use it as an opportunity for an early night...

Actually I was waiting for [livejournal.com profile] marypcb to phone, but she was caught up in meetings at Apple, and couldn't in the end... At least I got a nice email this morning...

Yeah. I sure agree. I always stay up too late when John's not around... *grin*

I'd love to know what you had for dinner and if met your resolution!

Yes I did.

I bought the fixings for a caesar salad, and a really nice bit of sirloin. I cut the sirloin into strips and grilled it quickly on a griddle, and scattered it over a nice bowl of salad. All washed down with an organic cola.

No junk at all.

I do like Selfridges Food Hall. It's one of the best places to buy food in London, including all sorts of non-UK foods... and they're in the middle of a Bollywood festival that my friend Andre organised, with stalls selling hot food in the middle of the aisles...

Oooo... that sounds like fun. It kind of sounds like our Whole Foods, though the stalls with hot food are actually built in areas that take up about a quarter of the store. And some of that is cold food that they can heat for you. Lots of ready-made good eats. It's really easy to go there and eat a very nice vegetarian or even vegan meal without even knowing it. Hee.
