- 15:11 Calais is empty today. There were plenty of walk-on tickets for the ferry, and no queues... #
- 16:16 Was accosted at Calais by one of the "rescue flotilla". He seemed quite disconsolate at finding no queues and people with tickets. #
- 16:38 Getting home was helped enormously by the AmEx travel team, who are doing a bang up job for their stranded card holders. #
- 18:43 Home at last. And up on the roof for the last of the sun. #
