Technology, Books and Other Neat Stuff

I know I go on and on about The Kleptones, but when they inspire a whole video mashup project, then you know they must be doing something right.

There's something about well done mashups, cut-ups and edits that drags me in. I suspect it's the time spent tracking down and listening to all those ZTT remixes from the 80s, and my early exposure to the work of those fine art conceptualists (and studio masters), The Art of Noise. Their collaboration with Kevin Godely and Lol Creme to mashup the ex-10cc musicians solo works with their previous history is still one of my favourite albums...
