Useful TFL journey planner function

Need to get folk to meet at a specific place? The Transport For London Journey Planner is a useful site, but it's not easy to link to it from your web pages. At least that used to be the case...

You can now add a button to blog postings (and web pagers) that will allow you to link to a preset Journey Planner search.

In true Blue Peter fashion, here's one I made earlier that will navigate you from anywhere in London to The London Eye.

Useful, and so easy to set up. Highly recommended.

[Update: [livejournal.com profile] nmg recommends Transport Direct as a service for planning travel outside the metropolis.]

That's quite handy, thanks for pointing it out.

Of slightly more use to those outside London is Transport Direct, which integrates national rail, road travel and internal flights.

Asked for instructions from Broxbourne Station (Just outside London) to Wellington Street WC. Simple you may think but no.
Acton Town/Barking was the start point shown to some place I have not heard of.
Good thing buses and trains are not controlled by a computer. Who knows where you may end up Brian Lost somewhere???
