Today is also a day for people who can't drive...

...especially the chap who dented my car while it was parked outside the house this morning.

At least he left a note with contact details, and it wasn't too bad a dent, but it will need a bit of panel beating to get right. Amazingly, in this day and age, the numberplate on the van matched the one the scaffolders from across the road noted down. So I will be calling Allied Bakeries in the morning to find out how their insurance company wants to deal with things...

But still... Peeved.

bugger

It's bloody irritating isn't it? Still. At least the driver had the decency to admit it and leave details. Hope it's sorted soon.

I hope you've taken a box of cakes across to the builders to say thank you for noting down the licence plate number.

I think it's important to positively reinforce public spirited behaviour because it does seem depressingly rare sometimes (of course when I found the purse full of money in the supermarket car park a couple of months back, the first thing I did was take it straight into the supermarket and hand it to the customer information desk, but then all my friends are wonderful human beings and I strive to keep up!)

*My* car was dented in the company car park, under the view of the company security cameras, and no one came forward and I'm told there's nothing on the CCTV tape ... luckily it's a company car!

Which reminds me, I'm going to make a decision about the company car *tonight*.

annoying, that. Still, at least the guy admitted to it, which is good.

Bakers, pie makers... I was shunted on a Christmas Day by a car with "P J Pyes" as its number plate. (Though not with that spelling:) He was good too, as were the insurance companies. It's the panel beaters that were the hassle. Best of luck with them, Simon.
