I've been enjoying the iPhone photography of [livejournal.com profile] lamentables and [livejournal.com profile] abrinsky, and decided to try out the software they've been using on my new shiny, seeing as my iPhone 4 has a much better camera than my old iPhone 3G...

Hipstamatic takes your images and reprocesses them to look like something from a Holga or any of a range of different "toy" cameras, using all sorts of messed-up lenses. It's a lot different from working with the clinical, clean images from my DSLR, choosing the combination of filters to be applied (with Hipstamatic treating them as "lenses" and "films"). It's also fun.

Here's one of my favourite of my first batch of images, a look up at the metal frame that surrounds our roof terrace, late one hot summer evening.
