Technology, Books and Other Neat Stuff

I'm not one for edges - something that makes my years climbing slightly confusing. A couple of years ago we hiked the Zion Canyon Overlook Trail, which spends a small part of its route on a set of suspended boards. That was a little disconcerting, but I managed it.

Here's marypcb on one of the slightly hairy bits of the path, where the trail narrows, and you end up ducking under a low rock overhang. At least it's a cool respite from the hot desert sun.



However, the route of El Caminito Del Rey in Spain is one of the scariest paths I can think of. It's several hundred feet over a river, a decaying concrete ledge than runs halfway up a sheer canyon cliff wall.
