Flickr's statistics pages are one of the more fascinating aspects of the site. They let you see just who's looking at your images and from where.

Yesterday was a landmark day for my photostream, as I discovered that my individual images had been looked at more than half a million times. That's an amazing number of views for what just a few years ago would have been pictures in an album or a shoebox under the bed. Something that would have been pulled out a couple of times a year (if ever) is now a public resource that's being shared all round the world and with people from all walks of life and all manner of cultures.
