A pair of juvenile ground squirrels at play.

We were really trying to look at the elephant seals, but the tumbling rolling mass of ground squirrels was an easy distraction...

It's all fun and games...

What is it with Californian birds and dessert?

First there was the seagull at Cambria that flew off with [livejournal.com profile] marypcb's yoghurt, then today at Nepenthe this cheeky chap was making away with all sorts of table scraps when it went for the crust of her pie.

Mmm pie. Bad Steller's Jay. No birdseed.
