Driving around LA in the rain and on a Friday is not a good idea.

However: the Getty Center is still one of the most amazing places on Earth, so all is not lost. Also, there is a Starbucks in Barstow that is open until well after midnight for when you need a chai to wind down at the end of a long and stressful drive.
