Radio 4's flagship current affairs programme, Today, is looking for three listeners to blog the upcoming General Election.

Like all good competitions, it's all down to the tie-breaker...
In 100 words or less tell us why YOU should write a weblog for Today throughout the election period.
So will the winners give us blogs in limerick format?

Details of Microsoft's Longhorn-era screen fonts have made their way our into the world. Calibri, Cambria, Candara, Consolas, Constantia and Corbel. Apparently they all begin with "C" so they'll all show up together in a font viewer, and will be easier to pick out when searching through drop-downs in Word or InDesign.

Designer Lucas de Groot has said that Calibri is "suitable for documents, e-mail, Web design, and magazines."

Looking good. As someone who still works with code every now and then, and prefers to do email in monospaced fonts, I rather like the look of Consolas. And Corbel looks like it would work well as a replacement for Tahoma or Verdana.

You can now customise the Google News page, and add your own custom news feed sections based on your choice of search terms.

Nifty. Not quite the promised Daily Me (not by a long way), but certainly a step in the right direction.

Here's my current page...

I also note that the Google GUID generator doesn't check for letter combinations, and in this case has created a URI that could be blocked by strict corporate firewalls

I'm probably the only person with a copy of BitTorrent who hasn't seen Rose yet.

But...

Is the theme the Orbital version? Because that would rock, and would be a wonderful way for the Brothers Hartnoll to bow out...
