Spotted on the tube yesterday, an advert for a rather amusing directory enquiries service - one that would benefit anyone wanting to know the deepest and innermost workings of the British state.
Instead of helping you track down the numbers of friends, relatives, and that small Indian restaurant on Glassmere Road that did a really nice rogan josh, this service promised to give you "Instant access to classified information".
Whoo hoo! Now there's just one number to dial when I need to find out the yield on Britain's most secret nuclear weapons, or to find out who is the main contact inside the Outer Syldavian secret police.
Excellent use of the FOIA?
