At long last Diane Duane's "Swiss" fantasy novel, A Wind From The South, is finally seeing print through her own Badfort Press imprint. After two abortive publishing deals and a dead laser-printer it'll be good to finally see it on my bookshelves...
My faithful desktop PC Olwen is finally about to be taken to pieces, to make way for the big black box that will be Idris.
It's a machine that has done well for a good few years, but it's time for it to get taken apart, and then sent off to its new home at the_magician's house...
...and now to get all my software and drivers up and running...
Still, it's nice having a big black box with hardware RAID and a hyperthreading CPU - even if I have installed all sorts of strange new widgets at the same time, including a hardware temperature control panel and a new drive that handles pretty much all the removable media formats going...
