...Newbury Comics in Newbury Street, Boston.

Lots of lovely used anime, which meant I was able to pick up the deluxe boxed edition of "Last Exile" for very little money. As well as the figurine of Alvis, it also had the mouse mat, so I'm now working on top of my LJ userpic...

A definite place to visit next time I'm in Boston.

Summer solstice sunset

Coming back on the tube from an evening in the West End with tamaranth, the western sky was apricot gold behind a line of clouds as the evening's rain left London, heading east for the sea. When we got home I went up onto the roof to capture the solstice sunset over west London and through the mystical new arch of Wembley.

Carmel sunset

One of the highlights of our last trip to California was standing on the beach at Carmel, watching the sun set over the Monterey Peninsula, while surfers raced the waves, and pelicans glided through Pacific skies.
