No user serviceable parts, my foot...

The venerable Dyson has been playing up a bit recently, behaving as if there's a problem with a power cable. So I took out my trusty screw driver kit, and to the accompaniment of "A Knight's Tale" on the TV, began to dismember the beast...

The hardest part of the job was finding the appropriate Torx bit for my screwdriver to open up the switch section of the cleaner. Once inside it was all very straight forward. Chop off a length of cable, fit the ends into the appropriate connections, and, well, it all seems to be working again.

Rar!

Fear my l33t household appliance repair skillz.

Next, to replace its brushes.

Night, lights and water...

Bristol docks by night, the interplay of bright lights and water at work... )

Spammage is futile! I use Cloudmark...
