I aten't dead yet...

...and I seem to have finally shaken off the 'flu that laid me up in bed for a week. However it does mean that I have read an awful lot of books, and seen a huge pile of DVDs...

Yesterday was the memorial service for my friend Lynne Thomas. It was sad and happy at the same time, and a fitting send off to one of the greats of British technology PR. As they said, she truly was a legend in her lunchtimes.

And tomorrow I'm off to Las Vegas where I get to do one of the biggest interviews of my career as an IT writer . And I get to go on a helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon. Photos and videos definitely to follow.

Scaling the tube

Various mass transit systems, all mapped to the same scale.

The Tube is quite big, after all...

Thank goodness for hoarding change...

...just found $43 and change that I can take with me tomorrow...

...but I won't put the quarters in the slot machines.

...honest.

...maybe the Liberty dollar.

300

So Dave Sim finally made it to the end of Cerebus. I may not have enjoyed it after Melmoth, and I definitely disagreed with a lot of Sim's essays - but it's been a long, strange ride, and the earth-pig has been there most of the time.
