Software companies doing the right thing

The RSS plug-in I use to read blogs in Outlook, NewsGator, has just jumped to version 2.0 with a lot of major changes. It's a free upgrade for registered users - when normally version number updates from most vendors entail, at the very least, a minimal fee.

I like that.

Pointless geek statistical thought

My current home mail store (just my personal mail, not the whole server) contains 1125164 KB of data.

That's bigger than the entire mail spool drive size on UK Online's original mail server, back when I put the service live.

What has the world come to?

John Lydon is going to be in "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here".

Punk is officially dead.

Hmm...

Anyone else noticed the parallels in the religious philosophy of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials and the classic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion?

[update: the scripts of the National Theatre's Christmas Show 2003 plays are now available]

The brew of the gods...

...or what keeps the coffee-intolerant me producing readable copy at all hours of the day and night.

It's The Republic of Tea's wonderful Republic Red Chai. Caffeine-free rooibos, but with a really lovely taste. One bag makes a nice big mug, and it can be had either black (my usal preference)or with warmed milk for a relaxing drink.

(And I'm also rather fond of the Honey Ginseng Daily Green Tea)
