Another Guardian piece on one of my current obsessions: next generation XML architectures and form-based user interfaces. Or rather, how IT implementations should be more about supporting all the ways a business works, including how its people really do things, and less about solving a specific problem...

A detailed (and recently annotated) look by the CIA at the state of the Russian space programme in 1967.

It's a fascinating look into how much the US government really knew, and how close the Russian programme actually got to putting a cosmonaut on the moon.

...hit London this evening. Or at least parts of it. We only lost power in Putney for 30 minutes, but I know other areas were out for much longer. Unfortunately for Londoners it is a cold and wet night, so no chance for spontaneous parties for all those trapped on stalled trains and in the Tube...
