Technology, Books and Other Neat Stuff

On other news, I picked up a copy of Chez Dork yesterday (along with the Pokethulu figures). I think it may be time to kick off the SW London silly games evenings soon.

Download, read and inwardly absorb the PDF of The Unix-Haters Handbook. Underneath all the humour it's really a wonderful book on why user-centric design matters, and why we live with crufty code even though it's infuriating and obtuse.

It's right up there on my list of essential books for anyone wanting to work with the web....

And no, you can't have our hardcopy. Nor our Unix Barf Bag.

Thank goodness for OS X hiding all that nasty command line stuff away from us...
