Of course, I had to etherpeg the keynotes at TechEd 2002. Unfortunately, again, like XCOM, the conference memespace is nowhere near as interesting as you might think (though at one point someone was hitting a slightly risque anime site...).

Doing my regular visit to Boing Boing, I came across this excellent link to an online discussion on the Singularity between Vernor Vinge and Raymond Kurzweil. While focusing mainly on AI, there are plenty of interesting ideas and comments in here...
