Ah well, I guess I can open up those protected entries from the last week now.

I've just been laid off.

Now to decide what to do next.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirts. As some others have remarked, a layoff sometimes a blessing in disguise. It's still a major pain in the arse.

The only advice I can give is to hit the ground running and treat the job hunt as a full-time job.
